Smashed is getting some polish


I liked Smashed when I first wrote it. A short casual game with explosions, it was a good play. Fast forward and I decided to rewrite it using Phaser 3.6, adding extra polish along the way. So, what is changing...

Casual games are just that - casual. This means I don't want to wait for screen fades, changes etc time and time again. Just play, hit restart and play again. So, some of the UX is changing.

Particles are also going to be more heavily used to add polish. There was a small effect of tile pieces being scattered when exploding, but now, there'll be more - smoke effects, lightning is going to use particles instead of the (rather bland) image animation, and more.

It's just the little things that no one notices, but when they're not there, people notice, or say it's pretty basic. So, let's spruce it up.

extra bonus tile used to be 'buyable' at the start of a game. It'll be more fun if you can buy them during the game. Don't worry, there's no hard cash required, you gain coins are you smash tiles together.
